Child Safety Standards

The following are strictly forbidden on WEOAUS and will result in immediate removal and a permanent ban:

• Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Grooming, solicitation, or sexualization of minors
• Any attempt to exploit, endanger, or harm a minor

Identity verification

Identity verification is required before creating or joining a Check. Stripe Identity asks for a government-issued ID and matching live selfie. WEOAUS receives the verification status and verified date of birth, but does not display the government document, provider selfie, or full date of birth to other members.

Minimum age

Users must be at least 16 years old. We use account information, verified date of birth where available, and reports to identify underage accounts. Accounts found to belong to younger users are removed.

Moderation

We review reported content and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these standards.

Users can report a Check, message, evidence, or participant through the available in-app report action. To report a child safety concern outside the app, contact support@weoaus.ca. Do not send illegal content as an email attachment.

When we identify CSAM or credible CSAE, we restrict or remove the content, take appropriate account action, and comply with applicable legal reporting obligations. We review official authority requests, verify the requester and legal basis, limit disclosures to what is required or permitted by applicable law, and keep an internal record of the request and decision. We never give one participant another person's government ID, Stripe identity documents, or full date of birth.
